Amano
'before, during, after…or instead of work'

Our logo represents the Amano heart and flame of which the flame's our oven, where we bake fresh flatbread and pizza bases from our own hand-made dough, from early morning to late night. The heart's our warm, welcoming all-day café – somewhere to relax 'before, during, after…or instead of work'.

We call ourselves Amano, meaning 'by hand', because we really care about the food we serve - good, simple food and drink like sandwiches, soups, pizzas, grills, coffee, cocktails and wines made or finished 'by hand' in front of the customer.

Really, we're not trying to be clever. We're just interested in doing simple stuff better. That means using quality ingredients, made as freshly as possible and served as quickly as we can. With an extra dimension.  Whether you come to sip, slurp, nibble or nosh we invite you to take your time, linger, make the most of us.

There are plenty of cool all-day restaurants and neat gastropubs around, and trendy coffee and sandwich bars that do what they do pretty well, but very, very few that serve real, great value food and drink, for early risers or night owls, for takeaway or eat-in, in a place that feels like home.

We designed Amano with the goal of being the very best – morning, noon and night.

And are we?

Well, we know we're not perfect. But we promise to try continually to improve our levels of service and product to be the very best that we can be.

We do hope you like what we're trying to create at Amano – a new style of 'place' to eat, drink and enjoy one another!
